This 1925 Bugatti Brescia Type 22 Roadster was lifted from a Swiss lake in 2009.

the story about why it ended up in the lake is the best. God damn tax men

And it was dumped there initially because the guy who ordered it couldn't come up with the cash. Imagine if Bugatti did the same thing today with a Veyron!

Actually it wasn't the guy who ordered it. The guy who ordered it sold it to a Swiss architect who didn't have the money to pay import taxes so he hid it in the lake

When the guy couldn't pay the taxes the Swiss had to destroy the car. They were going to submerge it in a lake, but then retrieve it. When the putting it in they attached a chain to pull it back out. Unfortunately, the chain broke and so did the workers dreams. 'Cuz if you don't know, now you know ******
